SUMMARY
I’ve had several poems published in anthologies and I’ve participated in a number of ekphrasis shows that combined works by poets and artists, along with various poetry readings over the past few years, including most recently an open mike night at the Poetry Summit, as part of the San Francisco Writers Conference 2022. (Ekphrasis, a Greek word which describes the practice of art commenting or responding to art most often across different mediums, poetry to painting or the reverse.)
2022
YEAR ROUND: Mendocino Coast Photographers' Gallery in Fort Bragg, CA. My poetry and photography chapbook, Seven Dimensions of the Unseen: poetry and abstract photography of constructed lightscapes, is available at the gallery, and also on Amazon.com. It presents the images and poems of my solo ekphrasis show at Roost Gallery in 2016.
August 2022: My poem, “A Country Most Dear", will be included in the forthcoming California Writers Club Annual Literary Review 2022. According to their jury process it was selected for publication from among hundreds of submissions after review by at least three trained readers, who read and evaluated blind copies of every poem submitted. www.calwriters.org

MARCH 2020: Invited to join the Mendocino Coast Photographers' Gallery in Fort Bragg, CA, as an exhibiting photographer. The initial show was a reprise of selected pieces from the Mendocino Art Center show from 2019 (see below), which included both photographs and their accompanying ekphrastic poems.

NOVEMBER 2019: Mendocino Art Center (MAC), my first West Coast exhibition titled: Seven Dimensions of the Unseen and New Work. This show presented both older images and poems, and a new series of digital pinhole camera images taken in and around Mendocino and Fort Bragg. These new images were inspired by my long standing interests in origami and photography, and were created with a hybrid pinhole/digital camera that I had designed and constructed myself. The MAC show featured these new images, each accompanied by a new poem.

APRIL 2018: After being chosen to be a responding poet, my poem “The Other Side,” was selected as part of a juried ekphrasis reading and painting exhibition, Art & Words: An Exhibition of Art & Poetry Inspiring One Another at Emerge Gallery, in Saugerties, NY. April 7 - April 30.
MAY 2018: Gardiner Open Studio Tour - Showing my new Images and poetry.
