• The 6th Gardiner Open Studio Tour (Spring GOST 2016) will be held, April 30 - May 1, 2016 in Gardiner NY. Of course my studio, which I share with my partner Andrea McFarland, a pastelist, will be open for the tour. Please save the date and come visit. 
• The 5th Gardiner Open Studio Tour was just held on Oct. 10, 11 & 12, 2015.
  • This event brought more than 150 people to the studio to look at new work and highlights of older shows. There were many positive comments and exciting exchanges. Visitors included everyone from neighbors to tourists from abroad.
• A commission piece was just sold to a gentlemen from New Jersey. Commissions are welcome if you have a particular interest in a subject or a color range, please contact me.
• I continue as chairman of the Gardiner Open Studio Tour, (GOST), which has been running twice a year since 2013.
  • This is a very intense job! In advance of each open studio tour, in addition to doing my own work, I'm actively working with our local artist members to  get all of our publicity, and scheduling on track so that it can culminate in a successful studio tour. Just this past October, we held our 5th GOST and attendance was quite good at many of our member studios.
• Our next Gardiner Open Studio Event will be April 30-May 1, 2016. Hope to see you there.....

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

The most important part of the creative act for me is the mysterious journey of discovery as I 'alter'  my  images. I think of my process as somewhat illicit, because it separates the power of photography from it's conventional documentary truthfulness....

I was the Featured Artist at the 510 Warren Street Gallery in Hudson, NY in December 2014. The show was primarily new works from my 2014 series "Sharpening the Edges."
